One of the most powerful marketing tools that you develop for yourself is your business card. You give it to prospective clients, customers, and contacts, and it serves the same purpose with each group of people - it gives them your contact information at their fingertips. A business card can also be easily inserted into a folder, mailed with your company literature, or attached to a brochure. In short, the effectiveness of a business card is seemingly endless, and you should not leave home without it!

If you intend to put advertisements in your neighborhood newspapers, then the chances are that your business card may even act as copy for the newspaper's business card advertisement pages. But however you make use of your business cards, it wouldn't be the advertising gimmick it should be if not it looks proficient, is simple to interpret, and helps your customers to remember about what you advertise and why they have to purchase it from you.

When preparing your business card it is important to consider size. A business card is generally 3.5 inches wide and 2 inches deep. The size can accommodate a lot of information with a little creativity and imagination. Size is just one part of designing a business card, but important to keep in mind.

If at all possible, you should always try to get a professional designer to produce your business card's logo. The logo you either create yourself or have created for you should stand for the service or product you are involved in with your business. You should always make sure that the logo for your business card is scalable for applying to brochures and letterheads also.

A smart move to make so that people will memorize what you are advertising is a single line slogan. Incorporate this phrase or slogan on your business card. It is a really good idea to if what you sell is not straight away obvious from your trade name.

The first thing your prospective customers would like to know is your email address and your website address. So don't miss to include that in your business card. Cards are effective if they can be easily read, so make use of big and comprehensible fonts. Make sure the font color and the background color are compatible. For example a gray type on a white background makes it difficult to read.

You should always carry a business card that effectively conveys what you do and at least one way to get in touch with you. If someone can look at your business card without being able to identify a way to reach you then you will surely lose out. Flyers are another common too that can be useful for small business. Specializing your card with custom printing can give you an advantage that increases your business.

One of the most important methods of advertising yourself that you will ever devise is your business card. You can insert your business cards in brochures, folders, letters and countless other media to show people who you are and what you can do for them. Using these cards is every bit as important flyer printing. A business card cannot contain everything that you might want to communicate about yourself and you will certainly want to produce them with custom printing. But if you use your creativity you will be able to get the essentials across.
